Green moss walls, custom logos, graffiti and neon lights define the first impression entering at SOMOS new office

We crafted a modern reinterpretation of Turkish aesthetics, seamlessly blending classical patterns and shapes with a modern flair to create a fresh and inviting environment. The interior color palette—featuring muted tones of Crystal, Tanna Green, Viridian Green, and Antique White—provides a cozy warmth, accentuated by golden and brass touches, light wood textures, and intricate black-and-white marble and ceramic tile patterns.

Upon entering, guests are greeted by the bakery display and bar counter, where Turkish-inspired geometric tile designs create a striking floor gradient from the entrance into the café, gradually transitioning from a bold density around the counter to a softer white tile in the seating area. This gradient not only distinguishes the space but also guides visitors deeper into the café. Along the walls, we introduced a custom geometric composition, inspired by arched Turkish motifs and abstracting skyline silhouettes. These panels establish a branded visual language that extends into the logo, menu, and other graphic elements.

A defining element of the space is the continuous shelf that lines the interior perimeter. This long, custom-built shelf gracefully encircles the café, extending above the bakery counter, providing a dynamic display for an assortment of gourmet products. This feature adds visual interest, enhances functionality, and invites guests to explore and discover the café’s offerings as part of the experience.

The interior layout prioritizes functionality and social engagement. A gracefully curved bench wraps around walls and pillars, complemented by modular D-shaped tables that allow versatile configurations. The café’s open design connects the kitchen, bakery, and ice cream lab through expansive glass partitions, allowing them a glimpse of the crafting action.

Natural light floods the space through a folding façade, which opens completely to blend the indoors and outdoors. By day, the café glows with indirect lighting, complemented by brass and marble fixtures that add warmth and a touch of elegance. Outside, a raised wooden deck with flexible modular planters and oval fabric awnings creates a charming seating area, ideal for gathering and photo opportunities.
